JustFlight Traffic Global on Vulkan - XPlane 11.50 Beta 4.
If an add-on appears to not work correctly, you can disable Vulkan and Metal and restart X-Plane. v11.50 is a BETA, not a release, so expect CTD (Crash to Desktop) and loads of other weird things going wrong, the trick is to keep X-Plane v11.50 version as basic as you can, few plugins, few aircraft, but the custom scenery folder should be fine.
XSquawkBox 2.x is NOT SUPPORTED with X-Plane betas. I will look into issues, but I really do not guaranty or even pretend that they work. Furthermore, 2.x does not work with Vulkan, and there’s a bug in 11.50b1 that will probably break it with OpenGL too. If you want to fly on VATSIM, please run the stable release of X-Plane.

In this video I ruminate on X-Plane 11 beta update 11.50 and the move from OpenGL to the Vulkan API. I discuss my first impression of the Vulkan API as implemented in X-Plane 11, beta updates and the current state of the beta.
The X-Plane beta updates are for users who want to help test the newest refinements to the X-Plane software. The advantage to doing so is that these users get access to the latest enhancements to the software (flight model refinements, new features, etc.). The downside is that there is a greater risk of encountering problems with third-party models or other general bugs. We recommend that most.
X-Plane 11: Vulkan and Metal: Testing and Bug Fighting. One thing you can say about the X-Plane 11 developers, is that they do provide plenty of details on the behind the scenes development work. The latest entry from designer Ben Supnik goes into great details on the work going into the latest beta using Metal and Vulkan.
LR has created its first Beta of the Vulkan update for X-Plane. I had to try it, of course, not without copying my current version to an external SDD (which takes a surprisingly long time, by the way). I did a flight in the Zibo Mod Boeing 738 because it is known to have no problems. The FlightFactor A320 is not ready yet, The Toliss Airbusses are (almost, but no sounds yet). The update is not.
